It's time for another Tennessee trout fishing report, and time to get out and go trout fishing. The Watauga and South Holston Rivers are fishing great when the generators are off. There are BWO's, caddis , midges, and crane flies hatching on both the South Holston and Watauga River. The best time to catch the water off has been the weekends for the last few weeks. The small streams are up but not off color at all. They are fishing great, and one of our largest wild rainbows of the year was caught on a small stream. The bugs are really beginning to become active with mayflies, caddis and stoneflies hatching on the small streams. The trout fishing will only get better in East Tennessee in the weeks to come. Thanks to all of you that have already booked your trip for this season. We still have dates available. Let us get you a trout fishing trip booked on some of the best fly fishing water in the Southeast. We are booking trout fishing trips for summer and the calendar is starting to fill up. Call or email East Tennessee Fly Fishing to make sure you can get the dates you want. Remember, East Tennessee Fly Fishing also offers shuttle services to anglers floating the rivers. So, just put the boat in and start fishing while we move your truck and trailer to the take-out. |
