The
fishing was good up until Christmas. Then we had a lot of very cold, wet
weather. The past week has been good. It was warm and the nymph fishing
was good on the Watauga, and the small streams. You can find midges and
a few BWOs on the South Holston. The Watauga has had a few BWOs, but the
nymph fishing has been the best.
We will be fishing right on through the winter, so
give us a call if you would like to book a trip. The warmer days ahead
will bring some great fishing with the chance to catch a few larger fish.
We are starting to book up for this spring, so book
your dates now to be sure you get the days you want.
The fees for trips this year are $175 for a one-person
wade-in, $300 for a two-person wade-in, $250 for a one-person float, and
$325 for a two-person float trip. We do half-day wade-ins costing $125
for one or $225 for two persons. Half-day floats are $250 for one or two
people.
I also want to let everyone know that Eddie Wyatt and
Ben Walters have opened up a great new fly shop here in East Tennessee.
